Of books and letters

Rechelle at My Sister's Farmhouse blog has a great post about epistolary books, that is, books that are written in a letter format. Check out today's post about Helene Hanff, and then go back and read a previous blog post she wrote about epistolary books. The topic is fascinating, and Rechelle is a great writer!

I just read the blog that you linked to. You're right she's a very good writer and the subject of epistolary books is quite interesting. I never knew there was a name for this style of book writing. I will have to read some of the titles she mentioned.

Thanks for sharing.

I read an "epistolary book" recently. It was hilarious. It's called "Ella Minnow Pea", and it's about a town that's trying to get by with less and less letters of the alphabet. Loved it.

Thanks for the link. I love epostilory novels. Some good reading! I also love real letters in books. One of my favorite series is the letters and diaries of Anne Morrow Lindbergh. She writes some great stuff.
